Aeroates Ltd. is recruiting on behalf of its client for a reliable, detail-oriented and well-organised Accounts & Administration Executive to support the organisation's day-to-day accounting and administrative operations.
Working closely with Executive management and the organisation's auditor, the successful candidate will assist in maintaining accurate financial records, running reports from the accounting system, and carrying out a range of general administrative duties. This is a hands-on, varied role suited to someone with a solid foundation in accounts and strong administration skills.
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date bookkeeping records, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly.
• Perform day-to-day accounting tasks including general ledger entries, bank reconciliations, and supplier statement reconciliations.
• Assist the auditor in compiling management accounts packs for submission to the CEO and Executive management.
• Assist the CEO with ad hoc financial queries, pulling relevant information from the accounting system as required.
• Maintain organised and up-to-date financial records, both physical and digital, ensuring documents are filed accurately and are easily retrievable.
• Support the coordination of finance-related meetings and assist in preparing agendas and supporting documentation.
• Provide general administrative support to the finance function and assist with ad hoc tasks as required.
• Assist with the preparation and submission of VAT returns and other statutory filings as directed.
• Help maintain compliance with accounting policies, financial regulations, and internal controls.
• Liaise with external auditors, banks, and other stakeholders under the direction of Executive management.
• Contribute to a positive and efficient working environment by supporting colleagues across the organisation.
Minimum of A-level qualification in Accounts, Business, or a related subject.
An AAT qualification, bookkeeping diploma, part-qualified ACCA status, or similar vocational accounting qualification would be considered as advantage.
A diploma or degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field would be considered an advantage.
At least 2 years' experience in a similar accounting or bookkeeping role.
Familiarity with accounting software (e.g. Xero, Sage, or Shireburn) and experience running standard reports.
Knowledge of local VAT regulations is an asset.
Some experience in an administrative or office support role would be an advantage.
