Job Description

Overview

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and process end-to-end payroll accurately and on time, including salary calculations, allowances, deductions, severance, and adjustments.
  • Ensure correct processing and submission of statutory payments, including NI, PAYE, and government bonuses.
  • Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with employment and statutory requirements.
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable, including supplier payments, client invoicing, and payment follow-ups.
  • Post and process invoices, journal entries, and perform bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns while maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation.
  • Support clients and internal teams on payroll, billing, and administrative matters, acting as a key point of contact when required.
  • Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes for clients from an administrative perspective.
  • Assist with financial reporting, expense reviews, reconciliations, and other accounting tasks as assigned.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients, suppliers, consultants, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
  • Support operational process improvements, vendor coordination, and compliance with legal and financial regulations.
  • Provide general administrative and operational support to the department manager and day-to-day office operations.

Requirements
  • Minimum Level 5 qualification or equivalent in Business, Accounts, Payroll or related field.

  • At least two years experience in a similar role (experience in Malta is an asset).

  • Solid understanding of basic accounting and financial reporting principles.

  • Proficient in MS Office.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to meet deadlines.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills.
